It takes a law degree and a license to practice as an attorney. It takes much more to be a Counselor-at-Law. All Counselors-at-Law worth consulting take the time to fully listen to a client and attempt to view an issue or problem through the client’s eyes. By fully understanding a client, a Counselor-at-Law is much better able to present available options to the client and provide client oriented advice which is truly useful to the client. Performing this service requires not only a command of the law, tenacious advocacy and razor sharp analysis, but also equal elements of empathy, respect and understanding. A Counselor-at-Law fully understands that the practice of law is a dynamic activity and that differing situations require differing approaches.
